Some useful Keyboard Shortcuts for windows that boost your productivity and speed

Keyboard Shortcuts can directly increse your productivity and speed. If your daily work is too much on windows then They just don’t get the work done quickly, but also improves the efficiency. Not every people know about these shortcuts keys,

Here i write about some shortcut keys, i collected these information from different sources. if you know about any other shortcuts keys then let us know by comment section below.

1- Ctrl button shortcut keys:

  •  Ctrl + C : This key combination can copy the selected (hilighted) text, images & any document.

  • Ctrl + Insert : This key combination will work same as Ctrl + C, but in some application like MS Dos we have to use Ctrl + Insert to copy the text.

  • Ctrl + X : Insted of copy this combination of keys will CUT the file or text you selected and moved it to different place.

  • Ctrl + V : This key combination will paste the copy or cut data where you want.

  • Ctrl + A :  Select all item in a document of folder.

  • Ctrl + D Delete the selected data or item.

  • Ctrl + R or F5 : Refresh the webpage or window.

  • Ctrl + Z : This key will UNDO your last action.

  • Ctrl + Y :  This key will REDO your last action.

  • Ctrl + "+" or Ctrl + "-" :  Zoom in and zoom out.

  • Ctrl + F :  Open Search box to find anything.

  • Ctrl + Tab : To switch between multiple tabs.

  • Ctrl + Esc : Open the start screen.

  • Ctrl + Arrow : move the cursor according to arrow direction.

  • Ctrl + Shift + Esc : Open task manager.

 

2- Alt button Shortcuts:

  • Alt + F4 : Close or exit the active application.

  • Alt + Enter : Show Properties of selected item.

  • Alt + Space :  Open shortcut menu for active window.

  • Alt + Left Arrow : Moving back.

  • Alt + Right Arrow : Forward.

  • Alt + Up Arrow : One Screen up

  • Alt + Down Arrow : One Screen down.

  • Alt + Tab : Switch between open tabs.

 

3-Microsoft Natural Keyboard keys:

  • Windows Logo: Start menu

  • Windows Logo+R: Run dialog box

  • Windows Logo+M: Minimize all

  • SHIFT+Windows Logo+M: Undo minimize all

  • Windows Logo+F1: Help

  • Windows Logo+E: Windows Explorer

  • Windows Logo+F: Find files or folders

  • Windows Logo+D: Minimizes all open windows and displays the desktop

  • CTRL+Windows Logo+F: Find computer

  • CTRL+Windows Logo+TAB: Moves focus from Start, to the Quick Launch toolbar, to the system tray (use RIGHT ARROW or LEFT ARROW to move focus to items on the Quick Launch toolbar and the system tray)

  • Windows Logo+TAB: Cycle through taskbar buttons

  • Windows Logo+Break: System Properties dialog box

  • Application key: Displays a shortcut menu for the selected item
