National affairs

  • The chief minister of the state of Bihar on the 15th of may 2016 challenges his counterpart of the state of uttar Pradesh on the topic of ban of the Liquor  as he mentions that the government is using this ban as a POLL issue in uttar Pradesh and also that the government of the state was trying to incur profit from the band of the liquor by increasing number of shops on the borde with the Bihar .
  • The amendment made in the FCRA act( foreign contribution regulation act ) in 2010 where in they introduced the Finance bill route can now fund to the NGO’S non government organization’s but can also fund the political parties and this was cleared in the lok sabha- said by Minister of state “ Kiren rijiju”.

  • Indian short film ‘Beti’ at Seattle International Film Festival
    i. A four minute documentary film ‘Beti’ which is a non-fiction on girl child education has been invited for a special screening at the 42nd Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), Washington DC. The movie is directed by Shivain Arora.
    ii. The short film promotes girl child by narrating the real life story of three girls from a government school and their dream for the future
    iii. The short is the only film from India to be featured amongst 421 films representing 85 countries and will be screened on May 30, which is Seattle Memorial Day at the Film Festival.
